This summer, Heidelberg's Old Town will once again offer a backdrop for holiday feelings: From the end of May 2025, a sandy beach with a beach bar, deck chairs, benches, and sun shades will be located directly on the water at Neckarlauer in front of the Stadthalle. The bar will be open daily from July – whenever the sun is shining, from the afternoon until 10 p.m. Beach yoga will also be offered on some weekends.

Many Heidelberg residents and guests have discovered the Neckar beach at Neckarlauer in previous summers. The concept has been adapted and improved based on the experiences of previous years: There is a larger sandy area, stretching from the bank to the wall facing the street. The beach bar has been replaced by a sales trailer that can be easily removed in case of flooding. New sun shades will complement the structure.

Further locations are planned at the Römerbad and Iqbal-Ufer.
